Dorothy M. Spotts-Bridgman, 89, of Temperance, MI, passed away into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ early Saturday morning, September 22, 2018, at Sunset Village, Sylvania, Ohio.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was loved by all.
Best known for her gardening skills, she took great pride in her handy work around her home in Temperance, MI, and had received the “Garden of the Month” Award from the Bedford Garden Club.
She also spent many hours volunteering at her parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Temperance, MI. She enjoyed helping with the landscape around the facility as well as preparation for the rummage sales to benefit the church. Towards the end of her journey, she volunteered at the Lions Den in Temperance which supported many local charities.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cameron (2013); brothers, Joseph, Norman and Donald Spotts; sister, Vera DeVries.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Shari (Frank) Breyfogle; granddaughters, Kristen (Matias) Ladino and Kallie (John) Pietras; grandson, Kurt (Sarah Anne) Breyfogle; sister, Ivy (Charles) Wardell
Visitation will be from 4:00 -8:00pm, Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI., with a prayer service and celebration held at 7pm.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Resurrection Cemetery, Temperance, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ashanti Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
